Best Buy – Back to School 360 Video

OBJECTIVE

Best Buy was looking to create an engaging, interactive video to promote their Back to School tech products which they wanted to be shareable across multiple social platforms. Their campaign goal was to engage their audience into using their leading-edge tech-gadgets! One Moves Media recommended using a 360-degree video platform, Best Buy was on board. From there, our team was able to guide Best Buy and work with their goals to create engaging content!  The campaign received over 450,000 views within the first week of the campaign launching and over 1.4 million to date, meeting Best Buy’s goals!

Building a 360 Set

When filming in 360, there isn’t the typical luxury of having available space behind the camera. Everything that surrounds the videographer will be in view of the shot. this means that the set needs to be designed with this in mind, and resemble a full set in all directions!  and you have to design the set to resemble the scene in all directions. Best Buy wanted to create a high end, dorm inspired space that felt like the place students would want to hang out in. Our team found a perfect location, created the set design and had the space decorated to suit our plans. 

Live Preview & Playback

The ability to see everything during filming is especially important with 360. This allows us to control the scene and film exactly as we intend.
