The Canadian Aviation Regulations require Special Flight Operations Certificates for any UAV operation so that Transport Canada can verify operators are using their UAV reliably and safely.

The Special Flight Operations Certificate contains conditions specific to the proposed use, such as maximum altitudes, minimum distances from people and property, operating areas, and coordination requirements with air traffic services.

Fines of up to $5,000 (per infraction) or in some cases, criminal charges can be enforced on users and companies not flying under proper licencing or practices.

Moves Media offers consulting services to help individuals and companies attain SFOC’s or deeper knowledge and understanding for flying UAV’s safely.
